This site was first developed in 2006 by Jeffrey Wilford and Ralph & Kristen Gustavsen.

Jeffrey Wilford is a 7th grade science teacher at York Middle School in York, Maine.
In November of 2004, 7th grade science teacher Jeffrey Wilford was selected by the Earthwatch Institute to become involved in the Earthbound 3 project. Through the development of this website, students from around the country were able to follow the Pantanal leg of the EB3 expedition viewing photos, reading daily blogs and communicating via email with Jamie, Arsen and Tyler. Mr. Wilford and Mrs. Kinzly's 7th grade students at York Middle School were able to connect live with the three "student researchers" while they were in the Pantanal. The Earthbound 3 project resulted in a high definition film ("A Year on Earth") which has been released by the Discovery Channel. It also resulted in a series of short teaching videos developed by Discovery Channel for use in the classroom.
In April 2006, Mr. Wilford took the first set of seniors from York High School to work with researchers in the Pantanal and connect live with his YMS students and others interested in learning about conservation efforts in the Pantanal. Join us each summer as Mr. Wilford and Ms. Kinzly embark with more York High School students continuing their efforts to assist scientists in developing specific strategies to save the amazing Pantanal!
