Proposing.. is it ok to choose your own ring?
My partner suggested that since I am unable to make up my mind exactly what kind of ring I'd like (because I don't want the traditional princess diamond engagement, rather an antique art deco or rose/round cut, or asscher..etc..see!) that I should pick my own ring? Any suggestions/opinions on this topic? Like, is it fauxpas, or okay?? THANKS for anything!

I chose my own. My fiance did not know what to pick and we wanted to find something we both liked that was in our budget. I am much better at tthe shopping and research. I found it, we looked at it together, he bought it, and surprised me with the proposal. It worked out great for us.
